Turns out that after all the speculation surrounding the event, Alkaline and Tommy Lee actually got into it behind the curtains at Reggae Sumfest 2017 when alkaline returned backstage after he was finished with his performance.
Promoters have been trying their best to keep the altercation under wraps but all their efforts have proved futile as events like these spread like wildfire.
It all started with Alkaline at Reggae Sumfest 2017 Dancehall Night. After performing about four songs since the initiation of his performance, the "Impact" Deejay began making short 'slick' statements between songs about Tommy Lee as well as referring to him as "Nyammi Lee" who was set to perform after him and listening from backstage. Alkaline even had the audacity to go a step further - adding insult to injury by saying directly to Tommy while on-stage that he knew he was backstage and he hopes he hears it.
Reportedly after the "Young Boss" went backstage, he and his crew were bomb-rushed by affiliates of the "Sparta Don" but thanks to the several police officers who were placed on set the altercation was quickly dispersed before it could come to blows.
Tommy Lee immediately went on stage after the incident and stated "Mi see sum boy a try hold out the show" before starting his set with "Not a Badness" a record he released earlier this year in response to Alkaline's "Badness It Name"
