It's definitely safe to say that "Bodak Yellow" by Cardi B is one of the hottest songs right now. The track has been steadily gaining momentum, consistently climbing the charts and recently even surpassed "Despacito" on the Apple Music Chart. Is Nicki Minaj actually showing love?
Bodak Yellow is Cardi B's biggest single to date and is currently doing better on the charts than any song Nicki Minaj has done all this year and Nicki was recently spotted in a club dancing to Bodak Yellow!
Okay okay, I know what you're thinking. So what, Right? Well... Here's why.
In the past through a series of actions Nicki pretty much made it clear that she wasn't rocking with Cardi B. Cardi uploaded a video of herself rapping the lyrics of her single Red Bars on Instagram, and Nicki liked a comment, "Dumb A** Bars" that a fan left under the video. Seemingly agreeing with the fan's opinion.
Cardi also confessed in an interview not too long ago that Nicki Minaj was "putting her down" on the red carpet, "The first time I ever did a Red Carpet event. This rapper, She made me feel like I didn't belong there like I was beneath her you know. Like this is why I don't come to these things".
The "Super Bass" singer also sent some subliminal disses Cardi's way on her relatively new song "Swish Swish" with Katy Perry [See Lyrics Here]. So this definitely comes as a surprise.
On a number of occasions Cardi, who says she had been a fan of Nicki's music and even had aspirations of one day working on a project together with the "Pink Friday" founder, took to Instagram to express her disappointment in her, she stated;
"It's crazy how these b*tches and these n***as that I looked up to they trying to crush my mic. These are people that I use to look up to. People that I use to listen to their songs and be like damn I wish I could do a song with him, I wish I could do a song with her".
In the mean time, Bodak Yellow is still doing well and getting attention from a lot of celebrities such as Kevin Hart who posted a video to his Instagram of him and friends listening and dancing to the track.
